Stream Relay
Stream Relay is a managed live-streaming service from Best IT for churches, schools and other organizations. Each customer gets a private cloud server that receives the live stream from their encoder (such as OBS, vMix or a hardware encoder) and delivers it to YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, Restream or another streaming destination.
What it does
- Keeps your broadcast on the air. If the encoder's internet connection drops, viewers see a "We'll be right back" screen instead of the stream ending.
- A private control portal to start and stop the stream server, view encoder connection details, choose where to stream, and upload the "We'll be right back" image.
- Optional YouTube connection to schedule broadcasts and edit their titles and descriptions without opening YouTube Studio.
How YouTube data is used
Connecting a YouTube channel is optional. If a customer chooses to connect, Stream Relay asks Google for permission to manage their YouTube account so it can list their upcoming and live broadcasts, create the broadcasts they schedule, update a broadcast's title, description and visibility, and end a broadcast, each only when the customer asks it to in the portal, and only for the customer's own channel. Customers can disconnect at any time in the portal or from their Google Account permissions page. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
Stream Relay uses YouTube API Services. By connecting YouTube you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service.
