Privacy Policy
Effective October 14, 2026
This policy explains what information Stream Relay, a service of Best IT ("we"), collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information: the email address used to sign in to the control portal. Sign-in is handled by Amazon Cognito; we never see your password.
- Streaming settings you provide: your streaming destination and its stream key, your encoder connection credentials, video settings, and the "We'll be right back" image you upload.
- Usage records: when the stream server is started and stopped and which account made changes, used for billing and support.
- Technical logs: standard server and security logs used to operate and protect the service.
Information from Google and YouTube
If you choose to connect a YouTube channel, Google asks you to grant Stream Relay permission to manage your YouTube account. With that permission we access:
- your channel's name, to show which channel is connected;
- your live broadcasts (title, description, scheduled start time, visibility and status), to list them and to create, update or end them when you ask;
- your live streams and their stream key, to connect your scheduled broadcasts to your Stream Relay server.
We use this data only to provide those features to you, only when you request them in the portal, and only for your own channel. We store only your encrypted access token and your channel's name. Broadcast details are retrieved from YouTube when you view them and are not stored by us. We do not use YouTube or Google data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone except as needed to run the service. No person at Best IT reads it unless you ask us for support, or it is required for security or by law.
Stream Relay's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Stream Relay uses YouTube API Services. See the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke Stream Relay's access at any time from the portal ("Disconnect") or from your Google Account permissions page.
How we use information
To provide, operate, secure and support Stream Relay; to bill for the service; and to communicate with you about your account. We do not use your information for advertising.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. The service is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS), which processes data on our behalf. Your stream is sent to the streaming platform you choose. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the service and its users.
Storage and security
Data is stored in AWS data centers in the United States (US East), encrypted in transit and at rest. Stream keys, credentials and access tokens are stored in encrypted form, and access is limited to the systems that need it.
Retention and deletion
We keep your settings while your service is active. When you disconnect YouTube, your YouTube access token is deleted immediately and access is revoked with Google. When your service ends, or if you ask us to, we delete your account information and settings within 30 days, except billing records we must keep by law. To request deletion, email tbest@best-it.us.
Cookies
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Your portal sign-in is kept in your browser's session storage and cleared when you close the tab; Amazon Cognito sets a cookie needed for sign-in.
Children
Stream Relay is a business service and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the effective date.
